Ketu is the severed body of the demon Svarbhanu, the headless torso that became a shadow planet. While Rahu (the head) chases worldly desires, Ketu moves in the opposite direction -- toward spiritual liberation and detachment from the material world.
Ketu is depicted as a headless body holding a flag, representing his ability to act without the interference of ego or rational mind. He is the moksha-karaka (significator of liberation), pushing souls toward enlightenment through suffering, loss, and mystical experiences.
Ketu's energy is deeply spiritual and occult. He dissolves attachments, grants psychic abilities, and reveals the illusory nature of material existence. Those under Ketu's strong influence often become saints, mystics, or seekers of ultimate truth.
केतु दानव स्वर्भानु का कटा हुआ धड़ है, बिना सिर का शरीर जो छाया ग्रह बना। जबकि राहु (सिर) सांसारिक इच्छाओं का पीछा करता है, केतु विपरीत दिशा में चलता है -- आध्यात्मिक मुक्ति और भौतिक संसार से वैराग्य की ओर।
