Surya, the Sun god, rides a golden chariot drawn by seven horses representing the seven days of the week. He is the eye of the universe, the source of all light and life. Each morning, he rises from the eastern ocean, illuminating the three worlds.
Born as the son of sage Kashyapa and Aditi, Surya married Sanjna, the daughter of Vishvakarma. When Sanjna could not bear his intense radiance, Vishvakarma trimmed his brilliance, and the shavings became divine weapons including Sudarshan Chakra.
Surya is the father of Yama (god of death), Shani (Saturn), the Ashwini Kumaras (divine physicians), and Karna (the great warrior of Mahabharata). His blessings bring authority, health, and vitality.

ऋषि कश्यप और अदिति के पुत्र के रूप में जन्मे सूर्य का विवाह विश्वकर्मा की पुत्री संज्ञा से हुआ। जब संज्ञा उनकी तीव्र किरणों को सहन न कर सकीं, तो विश्वकर्मा ने उनका तेज काटा, जिसके छीलन से सुदर्शन चक्र सहित दिव्य अस्त्र बने।
सूर्य यम, शनि, अश्विनी कुमारों और कर्ण के पिता हैं। उनका आशीर्वाद अधिकार, स्वास्थ्य और जीवन शक्ति प्रदान करता है।
