Shukracharya (Venus) is the guru of the Asuras -- the demons' divine teacher, possessing knowledge even the gods envied. Son of sage Bhrigu, Shukra obtained the Sanjeevani Vidya (the knowledge to revive the dead) through severe penance to Lord Shiva.
With this power, Shukra could resurrect fallen Asura warriors, making the demons nearly invincible. The gods sent Kacha, son of Brihaspati, to learn this secret. After many trials, Kacha succeeded, restoring balance between Devas and Asuras.
Venus governs love, beauty, luxury, art, and material comforts. His blessings bring happy marriages, artistic talent, wealth, and sensory pleasures. Friday, his day, is considered auspicious for new clothing, jewelry, and celebrations.
शुक्राचार्य असुरों के गुरु हैं -- दानवों के दिव्य शिक्षक, जिनके पास ऐसा ज्ञान था जिससे देवता भी ईर्ष्या करते थे। ऋषि भृगु के पुत्र शुक्र ने भगवान शिव की कठोर तपस्या से संजीवनी विद्या प्राप्त की।
इस शक्ति से शुक्र गिरे हुए असुर योद्धाओं को पुनर्जीवित कर सकते थे। देवताओं ने बृहस्पति के पुत्र कच को यह रहस्य सीखने भेजा। अनेक परीक्षाओं के बाद कच सफल हुए।
शुक्र प्रेम, सौंदर्य, विलासिता, कला और भौतिक सुखों का शासक है। उनका आशीर्वाद सुखी विवाह, कलात्मक प्रतिभा और धन लाता है।
